On April 28th, Michigan's longest running Cancer Society gala event will bring together Southwest Michigan's top community and business leaders in support of the mission to save lives by helping people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back.

Since 1982 the Drive For Life has raised more than $2.2 million helping those who have been affected by cancer in Southwest Michigan and beyond. This year's Drive For Life offers an evening of delectable cuisine, celebrity appearances, a raffle to win a 2011 Honda Pilot or $30,000 cash and tremendous auction items including:

"Everyone knows someone whose been touched by cancer," Aaron Zeigler President of the Zeigler Automotive Group said. The Drive For Life supports local programs such as Road to Recovery, providing patients with travel to and from cancer treatments free of charge; Reach to Recovery, a breast cancer support program; Cancer Resources Centers at area hospitals; and prevention and education services.

"Kalamazoo is a community made up of charitable people who stand up for each other and help their neighbors," Zeigler added. "For the past 30 years the volunteers and donors who have made the Drive For Life so successful are a huge testament to that fact. It's amazing what can be accomplished when we all unite for a common goal."

Tickets are $200 each and may be purchased at all Harold Zeigler dealership locations. Only 650 tickets will be sold. The Drive For Life gala will be held at The Radisson Plaza Hotel and Suites, 100 West Michigan Avenue in downtown Kalamazoo. The event begins at 6:30 P.M.
