Zeigler Hosts 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Canned Food Drive For Local Charities In The Community

​Zeigler's third annual Ugly Sweater Canned Food Drive, which started November 15, will run through December 18, 2021 in benefit of local charities in the community. The Kalamazoo-based dealer announced that all of its stores will be participating in the food drive with donations going to each store's choice of local organization. Last year, Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates took home the big win with an impressive 5,000 items collected, with the entire dealer group collecting a grand total of 13,500 items overall. 

Kalamazoo, Michigan (November 29, 2021) - Zeigler's 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Canned Food Drive is now underway across all Zeigler dealerships in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The dealership group invites the community to come out and support the food drive which will be in benefit of local food banks in the area.

"Our annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Food Drive competition has become a tradition that all of our dealerships look forward to. It's great friendly competition among the stores that benefits the community," said Aaron Zeigler, president and owner of Zeigler Automotive Group.

Each dealership will determine where donations go, generally choosing a local food bank in the area. The dealership with the most donations gets to show off by wearing an ugly sweater during a party the following week. 

Last year, Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates took home the big win with an impressive 5,000 items collected, with the entire dealer group collecting a grand total of 13,500 items overall.

The first year the competition was held in 2019, the group donated a total of 5,000 cans to local food shelters in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois with Zeigler Ford of Elkhart earning the top spot by bringing in a total of 737 cans.
